Katie Wilcox-Stoskus, MA, BCBA, LBA
Founder
Katie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a mother to two fabulous kids. Katie has worked with children of various backgrounds for over 15 years, specializing in increasing communication, play-based learning, and utilizing positive reinforcement to teach social skills. Katie created The Village after searching far and wide for the right fit for her own children’s care. Katie and her family are residents of Carytown, and they are thrilled to fill a community need for other families. In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, and sitting around a fire with her family.
Emily Tabb, BA
Director
Emily is the Director of Early Childhood Education at The Village Richmond and holds a BA in Education from Transylvania University. With over 15 years of experience working with children both inside and outside the classroom, Emily is dedicated to hands-on learning and the social-emotional development of learners of all ages.
Recently relocated to Richmond after helping establish a school in Western North Carolina, she is excited about the possibilities and opportunities The Village offers the community (and vice versa). Emily intimately understands the importance of finding a school that embraces each child for who they are and helps them grow.
Emily lives with her husband, Chris, their 11-year-old son, Calvin, and their dog, Coolio. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and seeking out new adventures with her family.
Ashley Williams, RBT
Operations Director
Ashley is a Registered Behavior Technician at the Village. She has been working in Applied Behavioral Analysis for over one year. She enjoys helping clients build communication, social, and daily living skills and considers her job extremely rewarding. She strives to make connections with her clients and their families. Her goal is to make learning a time where everyone is having fun. At The Village, Ashley is known for making children giggle even on the tough days!
Ashley has her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science from VCU. Her next goal is to pursue her Master’s degree and become a BCBA. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going on walks, and baking. Her favorite things to bake are cheesecake and cookies.
Jane Rolland, M. Ed, LBA
Clinical Support Manager
Jane is a Richmond native who has enthusiastically served neurodivergent individuals of various ages and abilities for over a decade. Prior to working as a behavior analyst, she studied special education at the University of Texas in Austin in 2013, where she went on to teach preschool at a local child development center.
She then embarked on a career in behavior therapy where she led summer camps, social groups, and provided treatment to children of all ages. In 2017, she left Texas in pursuit of adventure and relocated to Denver, Colorado. She became certified as a behavior analyst in Denver, while developing an affinity for hiking, camping, skiing, and seeing live music at Red Rocks. To be closer to friends and family, Jane moved back to Richmond in January of 2022.
Jane lives in the city and enjoys spending time outdoors with her golden doodle, Franklin. Jane is ecstatic about joining the Village family, developing meaningful relationships with her clients and their families, and with fellow staff, and is looking forward to serving the Richmond community as a whole.
Ellen Brooke, BS
Owls Lead Teacher
Ellen is a teacher at The Village Richmond with a BS in Human Development and Psychology from Virginia Tech. She has worked in classrooms and alongside children for the last seven years. Serving in early childhood education is a passion of Ellen’s that can be largely credited to growing up in a big family, where she is number five out of seven children. Her favorite aspect of teaching has been the countless opportunities to apply her favorite Psychology subjects to her classrooms: Attachment Theory and Personality Psychology.
Ellen has lived in Virginia for most of her life and relocated to Richmond after graduating college in 2020. She has been a resident of Carytown since 2023 and is excited to contribute to the community through teaching and interacting with the families residing here. Ellen has a dog named Luna, and enjoys being active outside, going to the gym, and developing her love for photography. In her spare time, you’ll find her reading books and crocheting.
Micah Marshall, BS
Bluebirds Lead Teacher
Micah is a teacher at The Village who is passionate about fostering engaging and inclusive spaces for young children. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Early Intervention & Early Childhood Special Education from VCU. Micah has worked with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children ages 6-months to 14-years in various settings.
As a Richmond native, Micah loves spending time at Belle Isle, going to the gym, and enjoying ice cream from Gelati Celesti! When she’s not out and about, you can find her painting or snuggled up with her cat, Moose
Nora Ogunleye, BA
Ducks Lead Teacher
Nora is a teacher at The Village Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre from James Madison University. After touring nationally with Virginia Repertory’s children’s theatre in 2019, she began her journey into childcare at a Montessori school which heavily impacted her approach and love of early education. Since then, she has dedicated herself to creating kind, emphatic little humans with a love of themselves, the environment, and their community.
With a passion for artistic approaches and imaginative play, Nora is excited to be joining The Village Richmond and the Carytown community! As a Richmond resident since 2016, Nora can be found within the walls of a local theatre, reading (with a book likely purchased from Shelf Life), exploring trinkets at World of Mirth, or cuddled in bed with her cat, Astrid
Daiza Jones
Robins Lead Teacher
Daiza Jones is thrilled to join the team as the new Robins teacher. She brings six years of experience in the preschool environment and a deep passion for early childhood education. After taking a short break during the COVID-19 pandemic, Daiza is overjoyed to return to the classroom, where she finds true fulfillment working with young children. She is grateful to the parents and little ones for their trust and is excited to build strong connections with each family as the school year unfolds.
Outside of the classroom, Daiza is passionate about all-natural living and holistic wellness. She is the owner of dtecandleco, a small business where she handcrafts natural, eco-friendly candles. Creating calming, clean-burning scents is one of her favorite creative outlets, and she loves bringing that same sense of warmth and care into her teaching environment.
Tasha Jefferson, BA
Therapeutic Support Team
Latasha Jefferson is a dedicated and enthusiastic professional who brings a positive spirit and a genuine love for working with children. Born and raised in Richmond, VA, she recently returned to her hometown after several years in Orlando, Florida, where she built strong people skills and a passion for helping others.
With an educational background in Communications and Behavioral Health, and as a current Master’s student in Special Education at Liberty University, Latasha combines her academic training with hands-on experience as a Behavior Technician. She is committed to creating a supportive, engaging, and fun learning environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Known for her outgoing personality, big smile, and caring heart, Latasha is excited to be part of a team that helps young learners thrive.
